Meet Sam Reiss. As an Application Engineer for 3M’s Advanced Materials Division, he works with nuclear customers to provide solutions for their toughest challenges. From reactor water chemistry and pH balance, to spent nuclear fuel storage, to stable isotopes for managing neutron balance in the nuclear reactor core, Reiss and his team at 3M help ensure that nuclear reactors run safely and efficiently.
Sam is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, earning bachelor of science and master of science degrees in nuclear engineering and engineering physics. While in college, he worked in plasma fusion research as part of the university’s Pegasus Toroidal Experiment.
