Libbey Kitten serves as the Secondary Science Specialist for Henrico County Public Schools in Richmond, Virginia. Her twenty-two year teaching career spans three states in both public and private school settings. Prior to entering the field of education, Libbey worked as an oncology research assistant at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. When not immersed in science education, Libbey enjoys spending time with her husband and lab partner of twenty-five years, Todd. Libbey was recognized as Henrico County’s 2010 Instructional Leader of the Year.

As a senior product development engineer in 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division (AAD), he works to enhance the collision repair process through the development of paint-related products like cups and spray guns. He creates products that reduce the time workers spend cleaning equipment with solvent and the amount of materials wasted per repair, as well as those that help body shops to deliver a shiny, like-new vehicle back to the customer as quickly as possible.

As senior product development engineer in 3M’s Stationery and Office Supplies Division, her work focuses on developing new-to-the-world Post-it® Note products designed to help consumers turn their thoughts into actions and ideas into reality.
