In his career with Grand Rapids Public Schools, Mr. Harper has taught high school science including Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Bench Science, and AP Biology.

Meet Mr. Harper. Jonathan Harper is the Science Curriculum Supervisor for the Grand Rapids Public Schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also serves as a Secondary Science Disciplinary Literacy Coach. In his career with Grand Rapids Public Schools, he has taught high school science including Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Bench Science, and AP Biology. Jonathan has coordinated and facilitated professional development sessions, as well as professional learning communities, focused on best practices for improving teaching and learning within science education.

Jonathan has a B.S. in Applied and Environmental Biology and M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. He is currently working toward an Ed. S. in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He is an avid outdoorsmen and loves to go fishing with his family and friends.
