Meet Simone. Simone hopes to improve tennis skills all while keeping the public active and healthy by making tennis more accessible.
Why did you enter the Young Scientist Challenge?
I enjoy open-ended challenges that I can solve creatively, instead of following what others have already done. I was instantly drawn to the idea of inventing something that could change peoples lives, even in the smallest way, and using my knowledge to make it a reality.
What is your favorite invention of the last 100 years, and why?
My favorite invention of the last 100 years is the light emitting diode (LED) because it is very efficient and can be used for a wide range of purposes.
In 15 years I hope to be...
An engineer or data analyst, and maybe a violin soloist on the side.
Always accumulate knowledge, no matter what the situation. Sometimes you learn the most by experience, not by sitting in class.
